Description of Program: Madonna University’s unique dance programs offer a variety of components for a career path as a dancer, teacher, or multi-skilled professional. Our program is designed to foster critical thinking, communication, and ethical decision making necessary for success in today’s world, while also nurturing each student as a creative artist and maintaining the highest standards.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance (BFA) will prepare students for all facets of a professional dance career: We are committed to developing students to the highest technical proficiency, which is crucial to the integrity of the dance artist in performance. This conservatory-based program is specifically designed for the student preparing for a professional career as a performer in dance. This practice enables our students to obtain a career in the dance industry (performance and/or choreography) and becomes tangible to the community through exhibition, presentation, discourse, and activism.

The Bachelor of Arts degree is offered for students who wish to major in dance but would like to take advantage of the Liberal Arts academic experience: It is designed for students who want to continue their dance education and pursue a designated minor in a complementary area of study. It will provide a personal learning environment designed to incorporate the diverse interests and needs of each student. It is professionally oriented and emphasizes broad performance experience.

All majors/minors are members of the MUse Dance Ensemble.
